DBQuest challenges students to tackle important civic questions using primary source documents and analytical skill. Students are guided through a collection of texts, photographs, and video clips and are asked to engage and analyze these materials in a scaffolded setting. DBQuest can be completed as a 1:1 assignment or as a whole class activity through a white board.
iCivics' initial DBQuest challenge focuses on the Nashville Sit-In Movement of 1960, and draws from the landmark civil rights documentary Eyes on the Prize.
